Driver Age Restrictions

The minimum driving age to rent a vehicle is 21 and the maximum age limit is 79
"The Minimum Driving Age for this rental is 21. The Maximum Driving Age for this rental is 79. The following Surcharges Apply Renter and each and every additional driver Age 21 to 25 are subject to an additional fee of 15 EUR per day. Driving Licence

All drivers must have held their license for at least one year before the start of the rental. The driver shall abide by Icelandic law and regulations when driving. All named drivers must present an appropriate drivers license, valid for the car group rented, a valid national identity card or passport and a valid major credit card in the renter

ID requirements: We need driving license to look at and compare the personal information from DL.

Fuel And Mileage

Unlimited Mileage is included subject to our fair usage policy The fuel policy at this branch is collect with a full tank of fuel and return with a full tank of fuel. No charges for fuel will be added to your rental costs unless you return the vehicle with less than a full tank of fuel. If you return the vehicle with less than a full tank of, you will be charged for the nearest 8th of a tank at current pump price plus an admin fee of 50.00 EUR. No Fuel deposit will be taken when you collect the vehicle. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.

Collision Damage Waiver

Collision Damage Waiver CDW is mandatory unless Lessee provides proof from an insurance company specially stating that coverage of collision insurance is effective in Iceland valid for the duration of the rental agreement and covering up to the market value of the vehicle Usage of personal third party insurance is always on Lessee s own responsibility If CDW is declined Lessee will be held fully liable for the full value of the vehicle and extras in case of third party insurance is not valid Each own risk only applies to one incident In instances of more damage that obviously did not occur at one and the same time each own risk CDW applies to only one incident Please note In common the coverage does not cover damage to windows tyres the roof underside

RoadSide Assistance / Breakdown Instruction - Procedures

In case of breakdown please contact branch where you have picked up the car and our employees will help you with your case or will prepare for you a replacement vehicle.

Accident Instruction / Procedures

The Event of an Accident: In every case please inform branch straight away. Call 112 if its collision or emergency. Take photos from accident place of the damage and anything that could be useful in a claim.

One Way Rentals

One Way Rentals Are Not permitted

Admin Fee

A standard admin fee of 50.00 EUR is charged to cover the costs of processing speeding fine, parking tickets, or any other related traffic offences, and any other administration work required.

Pets And Service Animals Policy

No pets allowed in the rental vehicles. Should it be found that a customer has had pets in the vehicles a cleaning charge of 95.00 EUR will be chargeable.

Smoking

There is a very clear no smoking policy in the rental vehicles. Should it be found that a customer has been smoking in the vehicles a cleaning charge of 95.00 EUR will be chargeable.

Flight Delay Policy

If we have be given the flight number we will monitor all flights for any delays and keep the car for the customer in opening hours, if customers is delayed and arrives when the branch is closed, they can collect the car the next morning, we will keep the car for them until midday the next morning. If no flight number has been given and the customer has not contacted us at the branch, then we will only keep the car for the customer for 2 hrs after their booking collection time.

Own Insurance

All costs derived from the use of the incorrect and/or lack of fuel are not included. Zezgo is not to be held liable for items stolen, forgotten or lost inside the vehicle. It is recommended that the customers have these items covered through personal travel insurance. The loss of the vehicle Key or documents is not covered. Damages or costs deriving from customers loading the car with more than the stated capacity or taking vehicles "off-road" (unpaved roads) will be the customer`s responsibility. No insurance will cover customers driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and/or found using their mobile phone at the time of an accident. The vehicles displayed and models listed are the most common vehicles used by our car rental partners. We cannot guarantee the make/model or traction of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website. The details deposit and excess amounts are listed below

Late Return Policy

For a Late Returning customer a grace period will be allowed of 60mins from the specified drop off time on the voucher. If you have further delays please inform the branch as soon as possible. Failing to inform the branch and going past the grace period you will be charged at a daily rental charge at the current time and not the booking.

Collection Instructions

We will meet you at KEF airport in the arrival hall, our person will hold a whiteboard with our logo.
