RoadSide Assistance / Mechanical Breakdown Cover

This service is provided by our contracted road assistance company and is offered free of charge with all our rentals Breakdown assistance includes a basic level of cover in the event of an accident or breakdown If the rental vehicle is damaged during the rental period the cost of repair is covered following an additional payment of excess Basic cover however does NOT include damage caused intentionally or by negligence such as leaving the car lights on causing a flat battery damage caused by failure to use correct fuel damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement damage caused to the windscreen damage caused to the tires such a punctures Roadside Breakdown Assistance is only applicable to the island of Malta and excludes the island of Gozo Should roadside assistance be required when not covered by the company the following rates need to be paid and settled directly with the Towing Company Service that provides assistance and not to our company Malta Roadside Breakdown Assistance Fee euro 45 euro 75 Gozo Roadside Breakdown Assistance Fee euro 50 euro 170

Additional Driver

A Maximum of 4 additional drivers may be added to the rental contract at a cost of 8 EUR each per day Each Additional Driver must meet the driving licence criteria Additional drivers can only be added for the full duration of the rental All insurance cover as part of the rental contract will become void in particular If an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driving licence at the time of the event giving rise to claim

Driver Age Restrictions

The minimum driving age to rent a vehicle is 21 and the maximum age limit is 85

Drivers aged from 21 to 24 incur a surcharge of 8.00 EUR per rental day
Drivers aged from 71 to 75 incur a surcharge of 8.00 EUR per rental day
Drivers aged from 76 to 85 incur a surcharge of 12.00 EUR per rental day

Driving Licence

All drivers must hold a valid driving license from country of residence, any driving license written in a script other than Latin or Greek script must also provide an international driving permit (IDP). The official required language is English.

Driver Identity

European Union Citizens only required to present their EU driving license with picture card. All other international citizens must provide additional ID in the form of a valid passport.

RoadSide Assistance / Breakdown Instruction - Procedures

'Road Side Assistance - Breakdown: Breakdown Assistance is provided 24/7, the number to call in case of breakdown is +35679421630 and can also be found on your rental agreement. Accident or Breakdown - In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call us immediately. All repairs must be authorised by the location before proceeding, if necessary replacement cars will be provided by the location only. Please keep copies of all documentation you are asked to complete. This may be needed if you wish to make a claim. For accidents, renters must obtain a police report for meet insurance/waiver requirements. Renters must also obtain a copy of an incident report from the renting location. Accidents and/or damage occurring in ZEZGO vehicles as a result of driver negligence or where the driver has tested positive for drugs or alcohol will not be covered by any insurance or waiver product sold to the customer by ZEZGO, additionally the renter will not be entitled to a replacement vehicle. Hirer must inform breakdown office of the name of the street location and the registration number of the vehicle.

Accident Instruction / Procedures

'In the event of an accident the driver should contact the location immediately on +035679421630 noting the name of the street, the location and the vehicle registration number. For accidents involving 3rd parties the driver is to obtain as many details regarding the name, address, identity number and other vehicle registration number. The renter is responsible for obtaining the police / warden report for all accidents.

Flight Delay Policy

Client More Than 1 Hours after pickup time or Delayed If we have be given the flight number we will monitor all flights for any delays and keep the car for the customer in opening hours,. If no flight number has been given and the customer has not contacted us at the branch, then we will only keep the car for the customer for 1 hrs after their booking collection time.
