Driving Licence

'Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver's license which includes a photograph of the customer. The digital license may be accepted as a last resort. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental contract. For international renters, It is important that customers check with ICBC to ensure compliance with licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental. You must present the following: Home Country driver's license. If the home country license in a language other than English, an international driver's license will be required. Photocopies of Driver's Licenses are not accepted. Learner's Permit is not accepted. Any License which on its face restricts the licensee to the use and operation of the vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted. Temporary Driver's Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer's identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification will be required.

Driver Identity

'The customer must bring a valid full driver's license, no temporary licenses will be accepted and Passport or Identification card. International customers must present passport. Local Customer will have to bring a ICBC driver's abstract along with other documents. A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be provided at the time of the rental.

Fuel And Mileage

Unlimited Mileage is included in the price of your rental "Zezgo fuel policy at this branch is collect with a like for like, no charges, or deposits, for fuel will be added to the rental costs at the time of collection. If customer returns the vehicle with less fuel, then we will charge the customer for the fuel at current pump prices plus an admin fee of 50 CAD plus tax."

Admin Fee

If the vehicle receives traffic violations/parking tickets/toll charges during the rental period, you will be responsible for full payment of the fine as well as a 30 CAD plus tax Service charge. This includes but is not restricted to parking offenses, speeding fines, traffic signal offenses, toll road offenses and etc. The renter agrees to reimburse West Coast Car Rental the fees of any collection agency, which may be based on a percentage at a maximum of 50% of the debt, and all costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, West Coast Car Rental incur in such collections efforts.

Pets And Service Animals Policy

We maintain strictly a smoke and pet free fleet. Smoking of any kind (cigarette, cigar, pipe, marijuana, etc.) or pets is strictly prohibited in our rental vehicles. You will be assessed a cleaning fee of 500 CAD plus tax, depending on the severity if the vehicle is returned smelling of any kind of smoke or is littered with ashes, pet hair, and excess dirt.

"All costs derived from the use of the incorrect and/or lack of petrol are not included. Zezgo is not to be held liable for items stolen, forgotten or lost inside the vehicle. It is recommended that the customers have these items covered through personal travel insurance. The loss of the vehicle documents is not covered. Damages or costs deriving from customers loading the car with more than the stated capacity or taking vehicles “off-road” (unpaved roads) will be the customer’s responsibility. No insurance will cover customers driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and/or found using their mobile phone at the time of an accident.
